About us
In the heart of Venice, two steps from the Rialto bridge, the restaurant is located in a 15th century building overlooking the Grand Canal. Extremely easy to reach from all directions, La Porta d’Acqua successfully combines the quality of its dishes with a decidedly out of the ordinary location.
Our menu
Venice has always been a meeting place for numerous cultures and people. The idea of our dishes is to combine tradition with innovation while respecting the seasonality of the ingredients. A successful combination of Mediterranean recipes mixed with classic Venetian dishes. The cuisine ranges from a wide choice of daily caught fishes, selected meats and vegetables from the lagoon islands. Everything is accompanied by the best Italian wines with a selection from the cellars of small winemakers. Stop at the bar for a cicchetto at lunch or for a cocktail and a revisited spritz in the evening.
